A ★★★★★ review of Night of the Creeps (1986)

One of the most quotable, epic horror comedies ever made. Stacked with a cast that makes you love or absolutely loathe them, regardless of how little or much screen time they get. In my eyes, an absolutely perfect film, made specifically for me.

To occupy my mind in the evenings, I’ve been watching movies that I love. Tonight it was The Big Chill (love the music!). Last night it was Dirty Dancing (love the dancing and the music!). I think tomorrow will be Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (Tracy and Hepburn!).

Two Gen Zers told me 'Heathers' was inappropriate for teens. Here was my Xennial response.

A ★★★★★ review of Day of the Dead (1985)

40 years later and Day Of The Dead still packs a punch, both viscerally with the zombie gore, done by the wizard himself Tom Savini, as well as with its critique of the worst of humanity. Nobody ever did it better than the Godfather of zombies himself, George A. Romero. While all three films in the original Dead trilogy are absolute masterpieces, depending on who you ask and ones mood, it could be easily determined which is the best. For me personally, Dawn Of The Dead stands heads and shoulders above not only the other two, but every film ever

A ★★★★½ review of Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985)

Marathon with the wifey continues with good ol, underrated and misunderstood Part V. The sleaziest of the bunch and if you take away the fake Jason angle, one of the best of the series.

A ★★★★★ review of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)

2nd time this weekend, this time as part of our marathon through the series from start to finish. And you will never find me complaining about rewatching this glorious slasher masterpiece.

A ★★★★★ review of Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)

Wrapping up our run through of the Jarvis trilogy that we started last night with my 2nd favorite of the series.

A ★★★★½ review of Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985)

Continued the second of the Jarvis trilogy with the boys. Unfairly maligned for years due to the "fake Jason" but finally getting the respect it deserves. It's mean, funny, grimy and the closest to a grind house style flick that the series ever got to. Love it.

A ★★★★★ review of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)

No better way to celebrate the big man's birthday then my favorite of the series with the kids.
