The Deep House

A couple who explores derelict buildings find themselves trapped in a submerged house.
The original context leads itself to some impressive cinematography and truly creepy moments but the cheap plot is insufficient to sustain the minimal running time and the direction fails to overcome the premise's issues.

Die Grundidee von #AlexandreBustillo und #JulienMaury‘s #TheDeepHouse ist absolut fantastisch, für einen Horrorfilm aber auch sehr undankbar, da der Film sofort sperrig wird und auch die Darsteller nur noch mit der eigenen Stimme spielen können. Ich bin mir nicht sicher ob man aus der tollen Grundidee überhaupt einen spannenden Film machen kann, ein Dilemma. Sehenswert ist der Film für einen verregneten Sonntagmittag trotzdem.

Decided to decompress by watching #TheDeepHouse on Hulu. I also skipped The Superbowl tonight. I'm still burnt out from World Cup. lols. Enjoy your evening.
While diving in a remote French lake, a couple of YouTubers who specialise in underwater exploration videos discover a house submerged in the deep waters. What was initially a unique finding soon turns into a nightmare when they discover that the house was the scene of atrocious crimes. Trapped, with their oxygen reserves falling dangerously, they realise the worst is yet to come: they are not alone in the house.
