Going back through The Mandalorian cuz my kids were interested. I remember thinking S1 was kinda perfect, but in fact it is quite uneven. Great moments for sure, Pascal’s voice performance in particular. Excellent set pieces, especially ep. 1-3. Fun cameos. After that? Tonally all over the place. Carl Weathers wasted with wooden dialog. In fact any time characters chat for more than 30 seconds it gets pretty rough.

Finally reacquainted myself with the third Mission: Impossible movie, which I had largely forgotten having seen it years ago. And aside from Philip Seymour Hoffman's sublime baddie, I can understand why. It's a step in the right direction but hardly a giant leap for the franchise. 🤔
