Margaret MoonshadowSometimes, filmic products about old age and care facilities can be depressing and I wasn't sure I was going to like this but was drawn in by the stellar cast. In this sense, it played to my demographic perfectly. And it ended up being an adventurous treatment of deeper philosophical issues regarding the human condition. The payoff was in the excellent development of the characters--their story arc and their relationships to one another and their own journeys. Highly recommend. #AmWatching

The film that made me think I'm getting too old for this - fans of the games will pop hard for the various nods and references but for people like me, the film is a confusing trip to an uncanny valley of effects, unlikeable characters and a disappointingly lightweight narrative. How it made so much is beyond me... 🤷♂️
