The ignored the dream sequence at the end of S01, insofar as nobody talked about it. The main character has ongoing dreams/hallucinations, however.
And Marlene is back, as Casper the friendly ghost. 
I find that show to be rather meh. I'm probably going to watch it all, but it is more out of curiosity than out of enjoyment.
The finale of the first season made it look like the main character died at the end, but I'm sure they are going to say it was a dream or a near-death experience when the second season starts.
