Yuscil Taveras is among the little-known people with links to Donald Trump to have come under scrutiny. So far, he’s the only Trump employee known to have agreed to cooperate with prosecutors after facing charges.

#Woodward currently represents #WaltNauta, one of the two Trump employees also #charged in the documents case, in addition to having previously repped the IT head, who is not named in Wed's filing.
Prosecutors have said the employee is likely to testify at #trial, posing a potential #ConflictOfInterest for Woodward, who will face the prospect of a fmr client testifying against a current client. (& who is paid by the primary actor in the case)

A key witness in the case accusing former U.S. President Donald Trump of mishandling classified documents after leaving office has entered into a deal with prosecutors to provide testimony, his former attorney said in a Wednesday court filing.
🍿 "Immediately after receiving new counsel, Trump Employee 4 retracted his prior false testimony and provided information that implicated Nauta, [Carlos] De Oliveira, and Trump in efforts to delete security camera footage, as set forth in the superseding indictment," the court filing says."

Woodward is #counsel of record for #Nauta, & for some period of time also #Taveras — it’s unclear if he will continue. Many details in the #SupersedingIndictment leave the strong impression that Taveras is cooperating w/the #SpecialCounsel in some capacity — particularly the evidence surrounding his alleged convos w/ #DeOliveira about the server.
“This is not rocket science,” Gillers said. “You can’t represent a cooperator & someone fighting an #indictment [like Nauta] in the same transaction.”
