I was fully expecting to do the collective reading with the same deck that I used last week, right up until about an hour ago.

A new deck arrived this week, and I thought it was one I would never read with publicly. It came wrapped up like a gift, tied with a gold ribbon. I check in with my cards regularly, especially before working with a deck for a collective reading.

After pulling a few cards from The Unknown Tarot, it was clear that it’s ready to be put to bed for the year. Most of my favorite decks for collective readings are otherwise engaged right now, but I wasn’t worried about finding a volunteer for the week. And I have a new deck that I’ve been eager to work with, and I was pretty sure it’d be perfect. But nope. 1/

My tidbit: The 3 of Swords is represented as Saturn in Libra in #astrology so a way to view this card is a finality or conclusion to a matter close to the heart. In this culmination within the 3, we can see it as a head over heart situation. Sometimes it's simply accepting pain is an inevitability when we are in relation to others.

I have always believed real, lasting change always has a price, a sacrifice must be offered. Whether its weightloss, taking control of debt or any other change, there is a price to pay. Some days willingly, others with much cursing: the secret is perseverance. Aim for progress, not perfection.
