Every Sunday I look back at the preceding week in kpop and pick out a music video or performance that I have particularly liked. This week I have chosen Kiss Of Life – Te Quiero.

The Latin sound made this the first KIOF song to appeal to me; I just wish more of the lyrics had been in Spanish too.

I think I’m right in saying that this girl group has developed a solid female fanbase, which bodes well for the group’s longevity, given that women as fans are less fickle and more materially supportive than men. I wonder what KIOF’s particular appeal to young women is.
