Finally setup #syncthing / #syncthingFork yesterday and so far very impressed.

Some confusions as there are at least two UIs (app and web app) and the add device flow was (maybe) unnecessarily complex and didn't always name things automatically.

But I set it up on two Linux laptops and three mobiles, with one large file tree (160MB of #Zim Notes) and one folder synced across all five devices (should be a default IMO).

Hopefully it all works

Now, what's this fork no-fork business?

@rolandog I also got this a couple days ago. #SyncThing #SyncThingFork #FDroid @fdroidorg

So #Google #PlayProtect is claiming #SyncthingFork is harmful.

Utter fucking rubbish. Error? Or F/LOSS hostility?

Anyone else getting the following Google Play Protect warning when trying to upgrade Syncthing-Fork via F-Droid? Or is it related to Google's upcoming lockdown?

#GooglePlayProtect #syncthingFork
#android #fdroid #KeepAndroidOpen #google #security

@laurentgiret won't miss it personally as use #SyncthingFork on Android for my photos to share with my #Linux and #Windows PC's

Migrating Android phone data in 2026 without a Google account is not for those who despair easily.
Even with great tools such as #syncthingFork , which allow you to backup on the old phone, and immediately restore on the new one, it took several hours (half of them courtesy of #mozilla )

May the new phone live long and prosper!

I switched from #SyncthingFork to #BasicSync on #android for running #syncthing . You can export/import the syncthing profile. Worked flawless for me.
Ofc this doesnt copy the settings for e.g. runtime conditions (trusted networks, charging, ...).

I just can't believe the drama with #SyncthingFork escalating even further

I already switched to #BasicSync, very satisfied with it, even contributed to the translations.
Does anyone know why syncthing-fork is no longer available on Github?

Hello people, After putting it off for a long time, I set up Syncthing on my new mobile phone (GrapheneOS) for the first time today, only to find out an hour later that there are such problems. After reading through the last 100 comments, I no longer have any confidence in the repository. In particular, the (sparse) comments by the new maintainer and by the new account of the โ€˜old maintainerโ€™, who both also keep deleting their comments, leave me in no doubt that something is going on. I have n...
