Good Morning #Canada
It's National Rotisserie Chicken Day, which means you must have a meal at #SwissChalet today or risk losing your Canadian citizenship. The first Swiss Chalet restaurant at 234 Bloor Street West in Toronto opened in 1954. It was founded by Rick Mauran, son of Maurice Mauran, the founder of the still existing Chalet BBQ of Montreal. Mauran also started Harvey's hamburger chain in 1959.

It's that time of year when the #SwissChalet festive special ads come back on.
Which means it's that time of year where I have to slam Swiss Chalet for daring to claim they're running a festive tradition that's accompanied by a chocolate.
They abandoned giving you a Toblerone bar in favour of some Lindor chocolates... Because corporate shenanigans of course.
At least random internet people dissected the history for those who care.

CALGARY - After claiming that Big Tech censored her facebook account with little evidence Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is now claiming that they have gone a step further and cut off her access to the country's beloved rotisserie chicken vendor Swiss Chalet.
TORONTO - Researchers at the University of Toronto have concluded that life in Canada and around the world began going downhill when Swiss Chalet replaced the Toblerone bar with Lindt chocolates.
These Swiss Chalet flavoured Lays are tangy with a hint of BBQ spice. Really nice. Tho I regret impulse buying the 585g king size bag from Costco 😅 🙄
