As the weekend starts…

The Friday morning coffee jolt is relative small compared to yesterday’s. With that said I am still cruising in the fast lane but not red lining the RPM’s.

This morning as I clasped my hands in prayer seeking guidance for the days journey a calmness overcame me. After the crash of yesterday as the overload of coffee wore off rather quickly I spent the day sleeping. I would wake up to get rid of some coffee and go right back to sleep.

Today is a new day and with it comes new hope. As you know I am trying to navigate my way through AI and produce an album using my voice not as a generation but through real life recordings. The ten songs I have I used suno pro to help me make. However as I learn more about the DAW I have [Mixcraft 10.6 pro studio] I am learning more about midis and vst’s and how they can help me move into more original music. I don’t really have anyone who is being a coach offering tips to ensure a smoother transition outside of YouTube videos from Acoustia in their university classes I found after purchasing their product.

This is all good for me in the sense that I am not just putting the first thing I’m given from suno out as music. The hours I’ve spent learning to write prompts for my songs in suno might not be heard when comparing my songs to other people using suno with quick prompts but it has offered me insight into my journey [which I still don’t understand fully].

Every song I made in suno is the result of changing my prompts, BPMs, key played in, words changed as needed and style of music. I usually generate between 50 to well over 100 versions before I find one that I like enough to share.

In the meantime I keep my eye on the ever changing laws of AI music as well as how the public opinions clash. I gave up on trying to make any videos to go with my songs for the simple reason of copyright law. This might change later on in my journey but for now I am wanting to show that AI is not the evil thing it is being portrayed as. I believe that if AI is used as a learning tool instead of just another quick path to making money it can compliment or enhance a person hard work.

So here I am taking a stand, declaring my belief that AI is not some dark, evil thing that will destroy the world but a tool to help with unfulfilled dreams of many people who didn’t have the opportunities in life to pursue their goals. Here is part of a prompt I wrote to make the following song. I removed some of the prompt for personal reasons.

Spesso si dice che la difficoltà maggiore da gestire con l'AI generativa sia la continuità e la coerenza visiva. Secondo me, invece, l'ostacolo maggiore sono le linee guida stringenti che non permettono di generare alcuni tipi di immagini, veramente innocue, che comunque entrano in conflitto con la politica del modello generativo. Riuscire ad aggirare queste regole richiede inventiva e l'uso incrociato di più modelli, ma non sempre è sufficiente! Che cosa ne pensate artisti AI?
