Went and did this. I paid little attention to the weather forecast, which was just as well. It was mostly dry, and the wind was kind to me, strengthening on the way home.
Lots of storm debris about, though.

Well done to the #DepartmentForIncompetence for creating such hazardous conditions for pedestrians, parents now feel obliged to drive ridiculously short distances to take their children to school. This is the outcome of a decades-long Departmental strategy of prioritising driving cars everywhere.

Over on *that* site, local #NI news report how children here are the least physically active in Europe. Precisely 0% cycle to school, and the number of pupils walking has gone down year on year for more than a decade. The majority of primary school pupils are driven.

But is any surprise when our roads are the way they are, putting drivers and their vehicles first?
