Ireland's east coast railway line from Dublin to Wicklow is in trouble. #ClimateChange has accelerated #coastalErosion, requiring protective works which will impede the glorious sea views.

The northern part of the route, from #Dublin to #DunLaoghaire, is one of the oldest in the world. The Dublin and Kingstown Railway opened in 1834, only 4 years after the pioneering Liverpool and Manchester Railway. The line continued to Dalkey in the 1840s, and to Wicklow in 1854. >>
