Went and did this. I paid little attention to the weather forecast, which was just as well. It was mostly dry, and the wind was kind to me, strengthening on the way home.
Lots of storm debris about, though.

It just got worse. On the eve of the works starting, the closure will be from tomorrow with no access to the bridge at all, and the period of closure is extended by a week until the 16th. I am so not impressed. #Belfast #Lisburn #LaganTowpath

From Friday, 19 May, the path along the Lagan between Edenderry and Minnowburn National Trust will be closed for essential maintenance. I have asked how access to Gilchrist Bridge will be maintained because the path is used by residents to access the nearest Metro bus stop, schools, and amenities in #Finaghy. #LaganTowpath #Belfast #Lisburn
