Today I heard that "accessible code (website) is not sustainable code". Apparently this was because they would have to build in 'accessibility features' on top of the website that they already have.

Any resources debunking or confirming this? I would think that writing not JS-bloated stuff would yield accessible and sustainable results.

I guess you can write accessible, not sustainable code as you could write WCAG conformant code and it wouldn't be accessible.
