This letterer has used thr Gestalt visual principle of continuity to give the impression of each letterbeing layered on a different coloured version of itself white on red on pink) creating a 3D effect. Very cool!

Jane Laundromat in Greenwich village has a very striking typeface for Laundromat. It has lovely curves on all the corners of the letters and the terminals are squared off like cutting a ribbon. I cant work out the logic for when an angle is a curve, and when it is rounded. Does this break some rules? The relationship between N M and U is interesting
