Researchers from the University of Bern, Inselspital, Bern University Hospital, and ETH Zurich have developed an innovative technology which can clean implanted medical devices such as ureteral stents and catheters non-invasively, using ultrasound activation through the skin. This could significantly improve the quality of life of patients and at the same time reduce the financial burden on the healthcare system.

My #mom is in the #hospital here in #Florida since Thursday. She had a series of #nonstemi #heartattacks at the end of last week. After doing some #tests and sending her into the #cathlab to check her #stents they found that her #veins are narrowing as she ages #restricting the #blood and #oxygen flow to her heart. Luckily this can be controlled by #medication and once they regulate her dosage she will be released hopefully Monday, Tuesday latest.
