Modelled solutions that check for related applications as they install are the way that encourage more people to self host by making installation, configuration, backup, update and removal easier.

People using #StartOS , how is reliability over #Tor as far as running a lightning payment infrastructure? Would it be better to stick with something like Alby Cloud?

I have been tinkering with this #Start9 server live on #twitch. Call me thoroughly impressed with #StartOS. Burn after Reading alone is worth it! I can send ephemeral encrypted messages and files that get destroyed upon reading. Easily host #Tor webpages or #Nextcloud over Tor, I can make a #bitcoin or #monero node, even #Mastodon and #matrix with a click of a button. BTW @adam, do you know if there’s any real downside to allowing a box running @start9labs ’s #StartOS to be accessed via the regular internet instead of tor? I was considering making select services on one available directly via a reverse proxy that utilizes Let’s Encrypt certificates just as I would if the service was on a different kind of host.
