...apparently the 80s got like... halfway to games streaming? Almost halfway?
It's surprisingly watchable! Tho' that theme music does want to drill a hole into your brain after a while. They needed to vary that up some more.

Dr. Fortyseven π₯ ββββMan, #Starcade had a horrible theme song. It sounds like it belongs on a sitcom, as opposed to a game show about cutting edge video games.
And Geoff Edwards feels like a game show host out of time; a relic from several decades prior. Very dry, no frills, just picking up a check. And often he feels bored and apathetic to the whole thing, screwing up contestant's names or other mistakes yet simply shrugging it off with an "oh well, I'll still get paid" vibe.
For that reason alone it's worth it, I guess.
Though there's definitely an huge appeal to viewing classic games through a then-contemporary lens.
