This was brown and yellow two days ago. Two days of some rain and thunderstorms, and a frightening possibility of a tornado, it's green. Trees aren't there yet, but I saw the first person in my neighborhood mowing their lawn.

Bicycled the Root River Trail from Rushford to Houston. Portion of the trail from Cushon's Peak to the Houston Nature Center is closed right now, so bicycled the wide shoulders on Highway 16. Going down was great, climbing back up not so much. Great day of weather, without severe winds. Only two trees down on the way.

Though not the actual midway point between Rushford and Lanesboro on the Root River Trail in Minnesota, it is what my mind chooses as the midway point.

Really unsure about the pronunciation. "Rain" or "Ramen" without the "m" are probably wrong.

After yucky freezing rain days and some travel I was able to bicycle to Peterson and back to Rushford on what turned out to be a very pleasant afternoon. Heard more birdsong today than I've heard in a while.

Tried to bicycle to Peterson and the wind kicked my butt and I wasn't dressed for a much colder wind than I was prepared for.

Of course it was a headwind both ways.

I have a cousin who did much more racing type bicycling in Indiana and he said they never said the "W" word because it seemed to cause it to happen whenever anyone said it.

Yesterday in Lanesboro I took this to show the green coming in despite the snow not having fully melted.

Lots of squirrels. Red, grey, red and grey.

Pretty sure I saw a black beaver.

Lots of geese honking in the river.

6 bicyclists on the trail. One electric. One old school Trike.

7 walkers.

4 dog walkers.

A white tailed deer and I spooked each other. Then spooked another deer. Who turned around and got back on the trail. Looked at me, looked at other deer in the woods. I moved on and it joined the other deer. Saw the same 2 deer coming back.

Bicycled 74 Kilometers on the Root River Trail from Rushford to Lanesboro and back. Left too late to go longer. Green grass coming in slowly.

3 bicycle repair stands uncovered today.

Peterson bathrooms still closed.

No Port-a-potties yet.

Rushford's outside map placed on its post.

Signs of Spring slowly coming back in #SouthEastMinnesota yesterday

Saw a fox. Black with a white tip on its tai, but definitely a fox. Saw an eagle eating a possum. 6 wild turkeys in a gathering. The swan couple are back in their pond near highway 16
