This was definitely part of what I was trying to get across. The original post was aimed at a hands-on technical audience, so I appreciate the team at @theia for summarizing the higher-level business point so succinctly!

It certainly highlights the challenge #cybersecurity #leadership faces when communicating about complex technical topics. On the one hand, there's a lot of technical nuance to any technical implementation of a strategic objective. On the other hand, that nuance requires effort to translate into business terms. Being able to do both, depending on context and audience, is an essential #softskill that any effective #CISO needs to continuously practice and relearn!

I found this interesting: "How to be more concise"

Two key ideas I could relate the most with:

1) Concise does not mean short: It's not the length of the text but the information density that matters.

2) Avoid explaining events chronologically: I am guilty of explaining chronologically. I should take the burden of "choosing" what to explain instead of opting to explain "everything" in order.
