A democracy cannot properly function without public trust.
This data looks like a country with a puppet democracy.

When people are sick or have severe contagious illness in the house, they need to stay home WITHOUT FINANCIAL PENALTY. Supervisors, managers, and CEOs MUST make this standard procedure. This is how we minimize the spread of disease and take care of people.

Of course, if the workers owned the means of production and were actually paid the value of their labor, sending someone home without penalty to prevent the spread of illness wouldn't even be a question.

Surely it is time for the socialist left across the globe to abandon the purist principles for a heavy dose of pragmatism and come together to stop the seemingly unstoppable march of the extreme-right! Since the1980s, the socialist left has struggled to put forward a coherent programme, found ways to communicate and inspire around that programme to make a breakthrough. I am finished with those that say that it is only their programme that is 'correct' and everyone else is wrong!

Almost every month there is a new announcement of someone or a small group purporting to launch a new 'mass party' to represent the working class. Why can't someone organise a 'Fight-back conference' to bring all left groups together and form a United Front against the anti-democratic forces in society?
