The film is a documentary about the 2018 incident where Richard “Beebo” Russell stole a Horizon Air Q400 plane from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. But it’s more than an examination of the air incident. It really is a story about one man’s struggle with mental health issues as he went from an easygoing person to a man who felt a lot of pressure in his life. Utilizing both home movies but also filmed footage of the air flight, the movie is framed by the voice recorder of the flight which makes the movie all the more chilling. Just finished watching #SkyKing on Hulu. As someone who suffers from mental health issues, this documentary of the account of Beebo’s adventure in the Q400 hits a little close to home.
