Mike and Nick are gangsters. Nick is married to Alice and Mike is in love with Alice. Mike and Alice were supposed to hook up in a hotel room but Nick shows up and asks for Mike’s help. They show up at Nick’s house and Nicole asks Mike to chloroform the person who answers the door. Which turns out to be Nick.
