I'm working on new designs too but since I was already cutting some Skiffy's for some customer orders, I should see what some of the new acrylic colors I got in look like. They look fantastic!

Skiffy 42: Acrylic Edition!

Available now on bitbybitsynths.com with Etsy to follow soon! Expect to see acrylic options for the other cases soon too. I could make
those by request now but didn't get enough acrylic to make all the combinations so I could take nice product photos.

At the moment it's only available in frosted acrylic but I hope to add more colors, though I *really* like the clear frosted acrylic with the Starry Night Purple printed parts.

Another awesome video from Musical Miscellany showing off his Skiffy 42, complete with not one but 2 rear modules along the rear. Reminded me I need to look at adding another set of holes to the 4HP power solution for situations where one wants to use 2HP modules (as Miscellany did here):

Cool stuff! I also didn't know there was a Eurorack module that interprets bioelectric signals!? That's rad! (The Garden Listener).

I'm planning on having my own assembly videos and things for the enclosures (and the WaveBoy of course). I've downsized my digital camera setup recently and haven't yet replaced it so haven't put much thought into videos. I can use a GoPro and my phone, but was looking to get a modest mirrorless setup for making videos where I can have more control like I'm used to. But for now a huge thanks to Musical Miscellany for the great video! I took some notes!

Check out what one of my customers did! He made a whole build video of his Skiffy 42 complete with painting it and applying decals!

Check out the whole thing here if ya like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G_wDaia_1E

It turned out really well!

I *finally* got around to testing out a possible replacement to birch plywood, which is basswood ply. It's more springy and lighter than birch, but provides a wood look, seems sturdy enough at least up to 42HP sizes, and is much more affordable than the hardwood options I offer. The reason for not having birch is the same reason my logo is blue and yellow. All of the birch plywood I was able to find all comes from Russia. While I know the average Russian has nothing to do with the war in Ukraine, I just can't bring myself to order more given the current conflict. This may be an alternative.

It's available now, albeit in limited quantities and only for the Skiffy 42 for now. If folks seem to like it, I'll order more. MDF will continue to be an option, of course! And I will continue to make hardwood editions for folks wanting a more premium offering. In fact I just finished another one and will be posting information on that one soon!

I'm not one of few words but if you wanted to read even more about it you can find more information on our blog (https://www.bitbybitsynths.com/blog/)

Skiffy 42: Hardwood Edition, #002

This one is made from wenge hardood and Starry Night blue/purple plastics. Available now on my Etsy store! Note this is a halo/premium case since the wenge wood is rather expensive, though the results are quite striking!
