The Skiffy 656 is now available! Initially we are making it available on our direct store (bitbybitsynths.com) but will be adding it to our Etsy store later on. We will also have an acrylic version coming soon.

It is a 2-row (6U) 56-HP (112HP total) face-up case, much like our Skiffy 642. Unlike the Skiffy 642, it has enough width for up to two rear mounted 4HP modules!

We know it's been a long time coming for folks and we appreciate you being patient while we've working to get this out.

Finally enough space! 😍🔧

My new DIY Eurorack case is coming together... 12U with 84HP per row, and there’s an additional fourth vertical row coming on top for another 84HP(need to get the extra rails first). So: 4x 84HP of sweet, sweet headroom. 😅

The layout is nice and curvy: 30°, 30°, 30°, and then a vertical 0° row on top — almost like a modular wave. Side panels are solid wood, cut and mounted by hand right here in the workshop. 💪⚙️
Still missing: back panel, lid, bottom and power, but you can already see where it’s going.

It's moving day! My own personal Eurorack was built using various prototype X42 cases, the very first Eurorack case I designed under BitByBit Synths. I love them! But, after gosh years now, I"m finally getting very close to offering cases up to 84HP in length, starting with the X84. What better way to test those then by building my own Eurorack from them. So instead of 6 X42's, I'm switching to 3 X84's.

These aren't available yet but I hope to make them available soon! Of course the X42's aren't going anywhere (neither are any of my other cases). Quite the contrary! But I have been asked quite a lot about wide cases and have been wanting to have that option for folks that want them for a long time. Soon!

I had the day off from the day hustle and decided to spend part of it working on the X84, the first of the 84HP cases I plan on finally bringing out. Part of the delay has been time to design the cases themselves but also making sure I have enough 3D print capacity to print the rails and tabs and things. Fortunately most everyone who has ordered as case from me has been patient but I also don't want to make folks wait a month to receive theirs.

At any rate I'll likely laser cutting the this prototype today (I already have the 3D printed parts made) and can see if everything fits together!
