Those of you who grew up in 1970s/80s #Britain - do you remember #SingingTogether from #BBC #schools #Radio ?
Started in 1939 (to give kids something to do as a distraction if they got evacuated due to wartime) and carried on until the 2000s - when I was in junior school it was timeshifted by recording the radio programme on a spool of tape played back on a Philips N4308 reel to reel (these had good frequency response even at 9,5 cm/s and the mono audio didn't really matter)
I still remember this song (an anti-Celtic stereotype that would be unpopular today, also not sure if it was age-appropriate for 10 year olds to sing about their "link a lum lee" (it was still the days of Saville and co)
