This last one will even be a tougher sell. It's an unforgivingly difficult indie (solo dev) horror game, and it tackles some disturbing/triggering subject matter. It has a goofy name, too: Silly Polly BEAST.
So what's the deal? It has a wildly stylized look, punk attitude, multiple forms of what you'd think would be completely opposed gameplay (twin-stick shooting, stealth-survival, skateboarding).
Is it perfect? No! Did it really leave an impression? Yes!
Silly Polly BEAST! Name aside, I actually can't say enough about this one. I LOVE cool surprises like this! One of my fave horror games out there. It had so many styles of play: shooting, skateboarding, creeping around a nasty orphanage solving puzzles... and Polly is a troubled, intriguing heroine. The game just BLEEDS style.
Warning: it covers some disturbing/triggering topics, super dark at times.
