AGI - Nuovo attacco di Trump all'Italia. Il presidente Usa torna sulla mancata concessione dell'utilizzo della base di Sigonella ai jet statunitensi nei giorni scorsi.
"Italy wasnt't there for us, we won't be there for them!", scrive su Truth, commentando con un duro post un articolo del 'Guardian'. "L'Italia non ci ha sostenuto, quindi noi non sosterremo loro!", scrive minaccioso Trump.
Stefania Craxi (FI): "La bussola del governo è l'interesse nazionale"
"Dopo gli attacchi di Trump alla premier Meloni, mi auguro si smetterà di dire che il governo italiano prende ordini dagli Stati Uniti. Lo dimostra anche il recente caso di Sigonella, con l'Italia che ha chiesto di rispettare un accordo internazionale vigente. Mi sembra la riprova che la bussola è sempre stata la tutela degli interessi nazionali e comunitari". Così a Radio Anch'io la presidente dei senatori di Forza Italia, Stefania Craxi.
"E resta il fatto che la politica estera non può essere fatta sull'onda di reazioni emotive. Il fatto che l'attuale inquilino della Casa Bianca sia una persona con un approccio muscolare alle relazioni non significa che si possa mettere in discussione l'alleanza atlantica. Questo per due motivi: perché è il fondamento della nostra sicurezza e perché l'amicizia tra i nostri popoli è cucita sulla pelle col filo della libertà. Noi non possiamo dimenticare che i ragazzi americani sono venuti qui a morire per noi, per la nostra libertà".
