I got the LP at Goodwill for $3 - 90% of it is excellent (so far). The first few minutes has some scratches.

What has been your most successful resource for hiring a pianist / accompanist for long distance collaboration?
No, there is no-one local. Yes, I've looked. For years. It's all country and emo-punk around here, or the actually trained musicians are working as teachers and have no free time.

My first thought is to go with Fiverr, but I wondered if anyone knew of anything "better." (Or anyone specific on Fiverr?) I know there are sortof musician-exclusive Fiverr-type websites, but I'm not sure about the userbase size and general trustworthiness vs "we hyped this up but it's pretty cobwebby"…

† yes, vocalists are musicians, too — I'm just covering all my bases

PS - Not looking for "live" recording, just someone I can give sheet music w/ some directions to and have them record me a track.

Lately Broadway showtunes have become a big part of my casual music listening. When I don't feel like finding specific albums to listen to, I throw on a YouTube Music playlist of "Broadway Hits" and end up saving most of them.

My friend Kari is entirely responsible for getting me into musicals.
