Spending this morning with #UteLemper 's superbly articulated "Berlin Cabaret Songs". In German. For people into "Babylon Berlin"; this is a great step up to the real thing; if you know a singer who does Weimar cabaret better, in this day & age, please let me know.
I adore this album as it perfectly captures the '20's/'30s Berlin naughtiness with humour and a wink.
Musical Interlude: I love this old Kurt Weill tune, no matter how odd the arrangement. Lotte Lenya's Latin-tinged version is lovely, and this modernist arrangement is also quite nice.
