It’s #dnd night! Adventurous dungeon crawl continues.
Any suggestions on some fun shenanigans to spring? 😆
It’s been a while since I’ve run some real dungeon crawl sessions. That’s what we’re set up for at the moment and it already started off with a blast!
Fun, interesting, and quick combat. Some neat loot. Traps! And some big character-building discoveries. Excited to see how things go over the next couple of weeks.
I need to throw a monster at my party that has just hit level 9. Some kind of beast or monstrosity that hunts orcs.
Any suggestions on what I should throw at them?

Ahh, back at it with our group for #ShadowsOfEvermore
Today was some catchup with a player who has been out of country for 2 months, then some downtime as we figure out where people want to go on the next leg of the campaign. Super excited to get back into it and a great session.
This week, we had our last session of #BladesInTheDark. It was an exciting conclusion. Everyone ended up with Trauma, one night be dead, and I have set up the next big bad for the main campaign.
I’m stoked. There’s an element of this campaign that’s like a series of MCU movies. This bad guy is a returning villain from back in the year 2001 from my old play-by-post message board #rpg days. I was teasing him before and now he’s back!
Excited for the next story arc.

Had a couple of weeks off from #ttrpg shenanigans with my #ShadowsOfEvermore group.
Got back to it yesterday for more #bladesinthedark
I don’t think it’s rolling as nicely as I had hoped for the system.
I think it’s a combination of factors. I think a big piece is still getting used to it, but I think that the group just isn’t quite meshing with the system. We’ll be back to #5e in a couple of weeks anyway, but I had higher hopes.
I made a note for myself to add cold weather gear and snowshoes as possible loadout options.
And for anyone familiar with Blades in the Dark that might be confused, I’m using the system in my own setting. We’re in the thick of winter to help tie in the themes of being closed off and prolonged darkness of the book’s setting.
I started throwing together some notes in Obsidian based on our session 0 for #BladesInTheDark. Thursday can’t come soon enough. Excited to jump into the system and see what this crew of hawkers comes up with.
