Mens jeg venter på at #Screamer kommer på  salg (for jeg kommer absolutt ikke til å betale kr 649,- for et bilspill), så har jeg installert #Wreckfest igjen.

Hadde glemt hvor mye jeg digger dette spillet. Muligens det beste bilspillet å spille på #SteamDeck / #LegionGoS

Having been encouraged by the unofficial subreddit to keep trying, I've now played ten hours of #Screamer, and I'm now enjoying how tough it is.

I can see why people like soulslikes. There is an exhilaration and satisfaction of when you finally pass an episode's objectives after 6+ tries. Especially when you've failed it because someone behind boosts past you within sight of the finish line on a past try.

The AI, even on balanced, are relentless and punish you for mistakes. Then there's the twin-stick steering that's challenging too. But when you get it right - by boosting in a drift through a corner and out on to a straight, it's a rewarding feeling.

I'm going pretty slowly through The Tournament - just now into the early part of series 2. Just been introduced to the Strike mode, and it's just another new skill to learn and control. As I was suggested to by a member, Arcade mode is a nice way to learn without pressure - and you still get unlocks playing that mode too.

I'm going to be changing my opinion on #Screamer but for now, the OST is great, but the piece for the Arcade section is such a bop.

Like it really fits it. I love going into that section to hear it, and the way it cycles when you go between menus and then dips when there's other audio is beautiful work.
