I used to think #fromsoftware ‘s masterpiece was #bloodborne — which is still great, a fascinating lore, a genre switch at the 30% mark, and a rally mechanic that promotes aggression. But #sekiro NG++ has so many options against staggering difficulty that it promotes creativity and clever buff use on top of a tender story against a gorgeous backdrop of feudal Japan and weird…just weirdly creative plot beats that I think it may be their apex.
