Being English, I am often embarassed by things my fellow Englanders say in relation to #Scotand- sport is the least of it

I am also occasionally embarrassed by my own unthinking conflation of *English* problems (like electing tories) with British problems

But mostly I am a bit jealous that Scotland seems to be so much more progressive and capable of change than England

Sometimes it feels like you're adrift in a dark expanse unsure of which way to go next or the best route to get to your destination. What's certain is that aimlessly floating will rarely get you anywhere positive while paddling onward will more often result in you at least reaching a next good stepping stone.
