It's uncanny that, while the linked episode of the #SceneonRadio podcast series is from the first few days of the #COVID pandemic - its content is also highly relevant today in the US.

They talk about government power, the economy (being the same thing as wealthy people's profits), big business, workers - and the concept of pushing democratic philosophies from below, as well as capitalism and democracy being at odds with each other.

Building a healthy economy is not the same thing as achieving well-being for most people.

The past 3 series of theirs that I've listened to were so good. Thoughtful provoking, tracing the history and ideology that have lead things to where they are today. I have learned so much of the dark side of American history that they don't teach in schools.

So you bet I am looking forward to this one! And the first episode did not disappoint!
