On January 12, 2022, the SIGGRAPH Pioneers presented a panel on The Analog Years of Computer Animation, circa 1969-1983. Pioneers Chair Ed Kramer moderated the panel about analog computers like Scanimate, and some of the earliest electronic animations ever created.
