This was so sweet, and sad, and cute, and… I’m such a sucker for a queer romcom. Just ignore me, I clearly have something in my eyes. It’s not a laugh out loud type of script but it has some funny moments, especially the Chinese community and gossiping, overbearing parents aspect (hence the title of course). How awesome is Joan Chen in any movie she’s in? Michelle Krusiec plays awkward really well. I was less impressed with Lynn Chen but then she doesn’t have a lot to do really.
