I’m holding Nasser in my arms, praying he doesn’t stop breathing from the cold. His medicine is gone, his body is shaking, and I can feel the fear in his tiny heartbeat. No child should tremble like this just to survive the night.
Please…your kindness may be the only thing keeping him here with me😭💔

„The deadliest conflicts for children in 2024 (…) occurred in the occupied Palestinian territory, where 2,917 children were affected (…). The majority of these casualties were caused by explosive weapons. Additionally, children account for roughly 43 percentof all casualties from mines and other forms of unexploded ordnance (…).“

Explosive Weapons Now Leading Cause of Child Casualties in Global Conflicts

Recently, global conflicts have grown increasingly brutal, with deaths and injuries caused by explosive weapons now surpassing those from previous leading causes such as malnutrition, disease, and a lack of healthcare services. As these conflicts intensify, children continue to bear the brunt of the casualties while impunity for perpetrators persists and funding gaps exacerbate the […]

Everyone 🙏
We urgently need $500 to make temporary fixes to protect our home from the rain and cold, and to buy a few essential blankets for the children.

Our house is damaged, and the little ones face freezing nights.
Any support — even small — can bring warmth and safety.

Thank you for helping. ⛈️

#SaveTheChildren on the situation of #children in #Gaza:

»Despite the past month seeing more items in the markets, #blankets and #mattresses are almost nowhere to be seen, Save the Children said. New clothes are also near-impossible to come by, with children still wearing summer clothes of shorts and t-shirts, and most of them barefoot. With families desperate for the basics to survive, they spend what little they have on #food rather than new clothes, Save the Children said.

With children in Gaza already at great risk of #malnutrition and illnesses like #diarrhea and #pneumonia, cold temperatures can be deadly. At least 14 children, including #newborn babies, died of #hypothermia in the past two winters, according to Gaza’s Government Media Office.«

Gaza: children sleeping in clothes sodden with sewage water after heavy rains raising disease risk

Children in Gaza are sleeping on the bare ground with no shelter, in flimsy shorts and t-shirts that are sodden with sewage water after their tents flooded in a weekend of heavy rains, putting them at risk of disease, Save the Children said
