I am highly tempted to borrow from the French COVID cautious sphere's usage of the term #AutodéfenseSanitaire because honestly trying to avoid a plague in 2024 really does feel like employing #SanitarySelfDefense strategies — right down to facing down growing hostility from the public at large towards your very existence.

It looks like #McKinsey et al are realising that employees getting #COVID19 twice or thrice a year and suffering from #LongCovid isn't good for the economy.

Maybe in a few years they'll write reports about the benefits of prevention and #SanitarySelfDefense who knows?

One billion days lost: How COVID-19 is hurting the US workforce

COVID-19 may no longer be a pandemic, but the disease likely reduced the availability of the US workforce by as much as 2.6 percent in 2022—a burden on productivity that could last for years.

I am appalled at the global response to the spread of #SARS-CoV-2 and #COVID19, the #ableism and #eugenism of it all. Normalize wearing a mask in closed / crowded spaces. Wearing a mask is political. It says "I care for the most exposed".

I've been wearning a mask (FFP2 or similar protection level) since Feb. 2020 to protect both myself and others. I'm an aggressive supporter of #SanitarySelfDefense #autodéfenseSanitaire in absence of decent public health policies.
