For recursive resolver operators, it highlights technical challenges such as limited effectiveness, collateral damage on shared dependencies, and reduced visibility when users move to external #EncryptedDNS paths.

The recommendation to use extended DNS errors ( #EDE ) is particularly useful because it makes blocking visible instead of looking like a random outage.
