We are excited about the #SOTMUS keynote presentation by Gareth Baldrica-Franklin, who will share Mapping Teejop, a digital mapping project centering Indigenous history and presence in Madison. Mapping Teejop is an educational project of digital, mobile walking tours throughout the city. He will explore how OSM could be used to support critical education through long-term local relationships.

In this #SOTMUS workshop, "Your own map service with MapLibre, OSM data, Planetiler," Yuri Astrakhan will demonstrate how to generate base map tiles from OSM data using Planetiler, set up Martin tile server, and use MapLibre GL JS to show the map.
