I had the chance to read @ruralgloom 's book , and I want to say the book itself is a fast read, however its not one you'll choose to read fast. The pieces are thought provoking, and several have hidden advice and ideas which make it feel like the type of fortune cookie you wish you got with your dinner. It's a book that is a pile of stories that equate the tales your elders are supposed to tell you.
Many of the stories also talk about parts of #Florida, thus incorporating what its like to live in these #strange parts of this even stranger state.
The true vision of what its like, nothing glossed over and prettified, and within itself slightly cathartic with its ease of understanding and little fluff to those who have lived here, or even those who have had the...experience...of being in Florida for longer than an amusement park day.
From #punk shows to awkward school moments, dating to death, this fits all bookshelves and time slots.
In short, you should get a copy! You wont regret it!
