Eli K.P. Williampicked up a copy of this antique 1929 manga by author and artist Nio Mizushima (水島爾保布). I’m going to translate the title (見物右衛門) tentatively as Country Bumpkinski in the Big City. It is a work of comedy, though one sequence of vignettes is sci-fi, featuring a rather silly robopocalypse. (Note the topless robot on the back cover.)

It's a good read and I am tearing through it. It is thought provoking, scary, and entertaining, which is really interesting.

It's basically like #worldwarz by #maxbrooks only w/robots. Fantastic. Also the author sounds like such an interesting person: a Cherokee citizen, a CMU Robotics Institute grad, lives in Portland w/his wife & daughter. I feel like he's probably been thru some shit these past 4 years, wow.
Got my hold on the sequel #RoboGenesis at my library & impatiently waiting now 😊
