Here's a #painting I made this time last year: "The Green Man Brings Spring to Chapel Meadow". And while the swallows haven't arrived quite yet, the primroses are out, the frogs are singing, and the hedgerows are frothing with blackthorn blossom.

My painting of the #GreenMan bringing spring to Chapel Meadow (the field opposite my house) continues slowly...

I've managed to make joyful progress of the figure of #RobinGoodfellow (as Shakespeare called the Green Man). My figure is inspired by the pose of Arthur Rackham's illustration of the Pied Piper.

I'm hoping I'll get this finished and framed to show at my #Exhibition of #paintings for #OxfordshireArtweeks in mid-May - only 5 weeks away now...
