I wish we had roasted #chestnuts at our Christmas markets, but they're just not a thing here. So instead, I splurged €20 on chestnuts in #Munich yesterday. πŸ˜‚ And look at the cool bag I got from one stall: with a pouch for the shells! 😱
I'm currently trying to reheat them in a pan to recreate that toasty taste and feel, but I'm not sure if it'll work. Maybe the oven would be better. πŸ€” I'll try with the next handful! πŸ‘©β€πŸ”¬

Anyone else eat roasted chestnuts? They aren't super amazing, and would be better if I could pick them from a tree rather than pay $10/lb, but it's fun for the season. Goes with the song :^P

They all seem to come from Italy for some reason. I guess no one else grows them commercially.

I got my chestnuts in the mail today. They will be roasted, not on an open fire, trying to head that question off right now.
