First, abortion. Then, IVF. Now, conservative lawmakers are putting #contraception at risk
Some lawmakers say they support the right to contraception. But when they actually have a chance to protect it, they won’t.

Case in point: On June 5, 2024, Republican senators DEFEATED the Right to Contraception Act. They blocked the passage of a simple bill that would have protected Americans' right to basic birth control like the pill, Plan B, condoms, and IUDs.

But we have another path forward. A petition is being circulated around the House of Representatives that -- if they get enough signatures -- forces the Republican majority to bring the Right to Contraception Act to a vote in the House.

Ask your representative: Do they support the right to contraception? Will they sign the petition and stand up for our freedom to plan our families?

The vote on the #RightToContraceptionAct was 51-39, falling short of the 60 votes needed to defeat a #filibuster & move forward. Republicans said the bill is unnecessary as the use of #BirthControl is protected under #SCOTUS precedent [as if #SupremeCourt precedent means anything anymore].
