It’s very crowded at the zoo even though it’s a school day. Not sure how so many kids are here. Is there a PD day or something? I hate that people aren’t respecting the animals. There are signs everywhere saying to please be quiet in certain spaces because the animals (eg the rhinoceros) have very powerful hearing and loud noises distress/hurt them. The building was filled with children shrieking at the top of their lungs, and the adults were shouting, too. Poor rhino. I wish there’d been a zoo person there telling them to leave.

Also very disturbed at the woman with what sure sounded like COVID cough walking around the orangutans without a mask. Apes can get COVID. It’s awful that people are allowed in their presence without masks.

I’ve only seen a couple of other people here with masks, and they have all cheered @Knightky and I on for wearing N95s.

I’m not sure I’ll get any drawing done today. It’s way too crowded and I don’t really have many opportunities to draw without being jostled. Too bad.

The best thing I saw was a very pleased cougar who’d caught a bird foolish enough to enter her enclosure.
