Hey - Teachers getting ready for the new school year!

You know how laminating things makes them last a little longer? It actually makes them last forever.

If you aren’t making a thing to last for your entire career, AND the career of the young teacher you are passing it on to, maybe take a pass on the laminator?

(btw the #ReduceReuseRecycle should really be #RefuseReduceReuseRecycle)

@[email protected] I try to avoid brands that over-glue their labels on. My very favourite brand for pasta sauce is Classico because the labels slide off the very usable Mason jars that it's sold in. I have SO much glass storage now for many different kitchen supplies. Most small glass jars can also be repurposed for spice storage. Some like the ones you're working on, I just put in recycling now because the glue is almost impossible to remove. #RefuseReduceReuseRecycle

My 5yr old was watching an educational video the other day, and I'll be damned if it wasn't the first time I'd heard mention of: #RefuseReduceReuseRecycle.

Stopped me in my tracks when I heard it. I immediately went over and reinforced how correct the message is.

Personally, I #Refuse to buy throw away planned obsolescence consumer kitsch. If you can't fix it when it breaks, or resuse it over and over, or it's so cheap it's not worth fixing ... refuse to buy it.

I think that's one of the most valuable lessons we can teach our children while they're young to break out of the consumer culture trap perpetually laid by #CapitalistPropaganda.

Being a #landscapephotography fan I do my best to have as little environmental and climate impact as possible when I travel and when I shoot

I dont buy new gear every year, I use EVs to travel, I am 100% renewable powered.

I look for ways to improve this ever day...
