Looking forward to join the ITS Asia Pacific Forum (#ITSAP) in Suwon, #Korea from 26 - 30 May 2025. If I know you and you're around, would love to see if we can meet. Could be work (ITS, #Transport) or personal (Tech, comedy, #Ruby, #Rails, etc.)

This "Train is arriving" display cum barrier door at a #rail station in #Tokyo #Japan uses the lights on top to indicate the direction that the train will come in (from right to left in this case)

We are used to seeing benches at platforms being parallel to the train, but in Japan, they're changing this to be perpendicular. Why? Cos it saves lives! #WhyDesignMatters
To prevent drunken people falling off platforms or being hit by trains, railway operators across Japan are turning benches at their stations sideways to the tracks.
This is a really well-packed day of talks and panels. The speaker line-up is fantastic, and I'm sad that I will miss the ITS #Singapore Summit for the first time. 1 more week to go!
