The story goes like this. ComputerCraft is a mod that adds programming to Minecraft. You write Lua code that gets executed by a bespoke interpreter with access to world APIs, and now you’re writing code instead of having fun. Computers have limited disk space, and my /nix folder is growing out of control, so I need to compress code. The laziest option would be to use LibDeflate, but its decoder is larger than both the gains from compression and my personal boundary for copying code. So the question becomes: what’s the shortest, simplest, most ratio-efficient compression algorithm? I initially thought this was a complex question full of tradeoffs, but it turns out it’s very clear-cut. My answer is bzip, even though this algorithm has been critiqued multiple times and has fallen into obscurity since xz and zstd became popular.

Não tinha conhecimento deste documentário. Mas sinceramente parece-me que tem um título demasiado pretensioso. Portugal nunca foi um país com uma cultura de música electrónica de dança lá muito forte, sobretudo comparado com o que se passava aqui ao lado em Espanha (Barcelona e principalmente Ibiza). Enfim, isto parece-me mais uma campanha para promover o turismo neste país do que outra coisa. Mas o trailer não deixa de ser engraçado.

Spatial Awareness Training in parties when it is rammo so that neurodivergent people like yours truly don’t have to rage quit parties? I found out at a later age that I would love dancing in decent clubs and it does help with my hyperactivity and racing brain, while I get excited when they present unique non-standard sets but I find it hard when some groups stand up with phones and stuff doing nothing just invading my dance space. I can get on with some of the busy gigs and parties when I see people are properly into it...I’m still developing coping mechanisms for my sensitivities including irritability and overwhelming distress with certain sounds and smell and crowds especially in public transport. Neurotypical coping mechanisms wouldn’t work.

There's a lot I can't relate to as a very cis person who doesn't drink, but dancing with fellow rejectors-of-the-societal-script at regionals (Burning Man events *not* full of RVs and icky wealth) as a #burner might have saved my life and nervous system and helped me have hope for humanity.
